New PCR for Switchboards available

EPDItaly is pleased to announce that the PCR (Product Category Rules) is available for Switchboards (electrical panels).

This PCR is then adopted for the publications of the EPD Environmental Product Declarations of these products in the EPDItaly Program.

The PCR is part of the innovative project, promoted by Enel, which involves the involvement of its supply chain at a global level and is aimed at qualifying suppliers on the basis of sustainability principles assessed through an Environmental Product Declaration – EPD. Enel’s global suppliers operating in the aforementioned sectors covered by PCR now have the opportunity to claim the title of “qualified supplier” simply by communicating, through the Environmental Product Declaration EPD, the environmental performance of their products. The EPD is in fact the tool that Enel has chosen to evaluate and stimulate its supply chain to operate with a view to increasing environmental sustainability.
